2008 PPA Unblended Segment Rates*

The following is a table of the unblended PPA segment interest rates for 2008. These rates are generally used in the determination of actuarially equivalent amounts for pension plans. For rates in other years, choose one of the following links:

The above rates are updated each month and are taken directly from announcements published by the IRS as they are currently unavailable in table form. These rates must be kept current in DB Precision in order to properly determine lump sum benefits under PPA.

To enter these rates, from the main ribbon tool bar in DB Precision, select Segmented Rates as shown (circled in orange) below. Then copy the three rates for the desired month into the segmented rates table and press OK to save.

Please note that your DB Precision logon ID must have been assigned Edit Access to Published Rates in order to be able to save these rates.
