Valuation Mortality
The Valuation Mortality screen defines the base mortality table, age adjustment, and mortality projection used for male and female participants. The Male and Female sections contain the same controls and are configured independently.
Screen items
- Mortality Table: selects the base annual mortality table for the section. Selecting
(none) disables the related age-adjustment and projection settings. - Male / Female: selects which sex column of the chosen mortality table to use. These choices are unavailable when the selected table is unisex.
- Age Setback (+) / Setforward (−) - Years / Months: adjusts the age used to look up mortality rates. Enter positive values for an age setback or negative values for an age setforward.
- Projection Table: selects the mortality-improvement projection table applied to the base mortality rates. Selecting
(none) disables the remaining projection settings. - Projection Type: selects
Calculation Year ,Fixed Year , orGenerational projection treatment. - Projection Year: specifies the year used with
Fixed Year projection treatment. DB Precision determines the applicable year whenCalculation Year orGenerational is selected. - Blend Fraction (Male) / Blend Fraction (Female): weights the male and female improvement-rate series for a supported built-in projection table.
Amount Value (variation screens): When this screen is opened for a reported-amount or year-based variation, this item identifies the amount or year to which the row applies. It is unavailable for a constant selection.
