Administrator Portal Settings
This screen is used by System Administrators to specify company-wide settings that apply before an Administrator opens a Plan Sponsor or participant.

Open Administrator Portal Settings by selecting Portal Settings while no Plan Sponsor or Plan Document is open. When a Sponsor or Plan is open, the same command opens the Sponsor-specific Portal Settings screen, whose Access page controls participant and Sponsor Contact security.

Basic Settings
  • Portal Name: specifies the Portal name displayed after an Administrator logs in and before a Sponsor or participant is opened.
  • Customer Name: identifies your organization to PensionSoft.
  • Logo File Name: specifies the logo displayed to Administrators before a Sponsor or participant is opened.
  • Support Phone: specifies the support telephone number displayed to Administrators.
  • Support Email: specifies the support email address displayed to Administrators.
  • Portal Emails: selects whether Portal emails are sent from the Portal server or from the Internet Controller. This setting is unavailable when no email accounts are configured in DB Precision.
  • Display unmasked SSN on open participant screens: allows Administrators to see an unmasked Social Security number after opening a participant through the Portal.
Two-factor Authentication
  • Login: selects whether two-factor authentication is not used, required, or optional when an Administrator logs in.
  • Security Changes: selects whether two-factor authentication is not used, required, or optional when an Administrator changes security information.
  • Application Authentication: selects whether application-based authentication is not used, required, or optional for Administrators.
  • Device Trusting: selects whether an Administrator may trust a device to reduce repeated authentication prompts.
  • Days: sets the number of days a trusted device remains valid when Device Trusting is allowed.
  • Hours: sets the additional number of hours a trusted device remains valid when Device Trusting is allowed.
Required After First Login
  • Security Question: requires an Administrator to select and answer a security question after the first login.
  • Updated Password: requires an Administrator to replace the initial password after the first login.
  • Email: requires an Administrator to provide an email address after the first login.
Password Requirements
  • Minimum Length: sets the minimum number of characters required in an Administrator password.
  • Minimum number of letters: sets the minimum total number of alphabetic characters required.
  • Minimum number of uppercase letters: sets the minimum number of uppercase alphabetic characters required.
  • Days before password expires: sets how many days an Administrator password remains valid; use zero when passwords should not expire.
  • Minimum number of lowercase letters: sets the minimum number of lowercase alphabetic characters required.
  • Minimum number of numeric characters: sets the minimum number of numeric characters required.
  • Minimum number of symbols: sets the minimum number of symbol characters required.
Session Timeout (minutes)
  • Administrators: sets the period of inactivity, in minutes, after which an Administrator Portal session expires.
Message Displayed for Denial of Portal Access
  • Denial Message: specifies the message displayed when an Administrator is denied access to the Portal.
