Missing Data Item
A Missing Data Item identifies the affected data field, the records to which the rule applies, the substitute value, and the dates assigned to that value.
Basic settings
- Item: Participant field to which the rule applies. Available selections include participant date of birth and sex, beneficiary date of birth and sex, date of hire, and configured Reported Amounts.
- Precedence: Order in which rules for the same item are evaluated; lower values are evaluated first.
- Apply to missing values: Applies the rule when the selected item has no value.
- Apply to zero values: Applies the rule when the selected numeric item equals zero.
- Only apply to employment breaks: Limits the substitution to missing or zero values associated with an employment-break period.
Assigned dates and value
- Effective Date equal to calculation date: Assigns the calculation date as the substitute record's effective date.
- Stop Date equal to day before calculation date: Assigns the day before calculation as the substitute record's stop date.
- Effective Date equal to hire date: Assigns the participant's hire date as the substitute record's effective date.
- Stop Date equal to termination date: Assigns the participant's termination date as the substitute record's stop date.
- Effective Date equal to fixed date: Assigns the entered fixed effective date.
- Effective Date equal to fixed age: Assigns the date on which the participant reaches the entered age.
- Filter: Formula limiting the participant records to which the rule applies.
- Substitute Value: Formula that develops the value inserted for the selected item.
