The New Sponsor Wizard Screen is used to simplify the process of creating a Plan Sponsor.
To create a sponsor without using the wizard, press the Cancel button on this screen.
- EIN: specify the EIN if know. If this number is not known, the standard for setting this number is use the client number but preceded with the number '9' until you have a 9-digit number. For example, if you client number is 12345, the EIN would equal 999912345.
- Client Number: space to provide the internal client number assigned to this sponsor (if applicable).
- Name: provide the full sponsor name (you will be able to provide a shortened name after the sponsor has been created).
- Plan Documents: choose the number and name for up to 2 plan documents (you will be able to create more if needed after the sponsor has been created).
- Reported Amounts: check the boxes that correspond to Reported Amounts reported to you by the sponsor.
- Freeze Date: if one or more of the sponsor's plans are frozen, specify the plan freeze date. DB Precision will then create a Reported Amount to store the benefit amount.
- Latest Valuation Date: provide the latest valuation date.
- Hours Based Credited/Vesting Service: check these boxes if either credited or vesting service is hours-based.
- Interest on contributions is separately known: check this box if the plan is contributory and has interest and contributions split out on the conversion (to DB Precision) date.
- Contributions are split by pre/post-tax: check this box if the plan is contributory and has both pre- and post-tax contributions.
- Default Output Folder: select the folder from the computer or network which will be opened by the Default Folder button on the Ribbon and will be set as the default location for any files generated by the Sponsor.
- Start with an empty sponsor: selecting this box will set up the new Sponsor without any of the default items that are usually added automatically by DP Precision.
