A Formula Derived Item is a named, reusable plan formula. It can supply benefit amounts, dates, filters, attribution inputs, and other calculated plan values.

• Description: Identifies the item in formulas and selection lists.
• Formula: Expression evaluated when the item is referenced.
• Round Type / Round Unit / Alternate Unit: Rounds the formula result using the selected convention.
• Allow result beyond date of termination: Allows evaluation dates after participant termination. When clear, the formula result is limited at termination.
• View item in QuickCalc: Makes the item available in QuickCalc (Currently unavailable)
• Val Extract: Assigns the item to a valuation-extract column and defines its column header. An unselected column excludes the item.

• Advanced: Opens the Formula Derived Item Advanced Settings screen for portal display, calculation optimization, and actuarial-valuation inputs.
