Salary Scale Tables
The Salary Scale Table stores annual salary-growth rates by age, service, or a combination of age and service. Valuation assumptions use the selected table to project earnings and other applicable reported amounts.
Screen items
- Description: provides optional notes about the purpose or intended use of the table.
- Rates Basis: determines how DB Precision looks up a rate. Select
Age for attained age,Service for valuation table-lookup service, orAge/Service to use age rows and service-period columns. - Select Period: sets the number of service-period columns in the rate grid. The last column is labeled
>= N and applies to the selected period and all later service. This item is unavailable whenAge is the Rates Basis. - Minimum Age / Maximum Age: limits the rows included in the table. The rows represent age when the basis is
Age orAge/Service and service when the basis isService . A Maximum Age of zero includes values through 120; lookups outside a limited range use the applicable endpoint rate. - Annual Rates by Age / Service / Age/Service: displays the editable rate grid for the selected basis. Enter rates as decimals; for example,
0.0400 represents 4% annual salary growth.
Note: After the grid contains a positive rate, DB Precision locks Rates Basis, Select Period, Minimum Age, and Maximum Age to protect the existing table structure. Clear the rates to zero before changing these items.
