The Connect to Server Screen is used to connect to the DB Precision database.

• User name: the six-letter ID which identifies you to the system.
• Password: the password that has been chosen for your ID.
• Change: press this button to change your password.
• Connect to: indicates which server that you will be connecting to. This will usually be Production.
• Do not show this screen on startup: if this box is checked, every subsequent time that you start DB Precision, the login screen will not appear. If this box was checked in the past but you want to login screen to once again appear, select File, press the Options button, and then uncheck the box on the General tab, "Do not display login screen on startup".

This screen will not appear if a user is tied directly to a Windows Active Directory login (can be done by specifying the Windows user name on each User's Basic Information screen). This is the recommended method for configuring users as by doing so, separate user sign-in is no longer required. This method is considered more secure and will then align user access with Windows security policy.
